Pine Island Tropicals is a tropical plant nursery as well as an outdoor farmers market located on an island near the Gulf of Mexico in Southwest Florida. Owners, Gary and Donna Schneider, have operated this family-owned nursery since 1993, specializing in organically grown plants and vegetables. Their popular, colorful, eye-catching market offers a wide assortment their tropical plants and vegetables as well as flowers, fruits and Momma Donna's tropical fruit jams, breads and more.

Visit the market for their specialty plants including: Bromeliads, Heliconias, Ginger, Orchids, Sugar Cane, Aroids and other oddites. Purchase some cut tropical flowers or treat yourself to one of Donna's artistic arrangements.

The organic fruits are hand-picked at the peak of ripeness. The bins and tables of Mango, Avocado, Papaya, Sugar Apples, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Greens and so much more are irresistible to the eye and the palate!

Momma Donna's Jams and Sauces are made with Gary and Donna's organic fruits and vegetables whenever possible. Created in the old fashioned way, in small batches, to ensure the freshest of locally made products, these products are a "must have" for any meal.

Frequent visits to the nursery reveals the seasonality of the fruits and vegetables, therefore not all of the produce is available year-around. Come often and try their different selections as the season's change. They continually do research and developement of different plant cultivares to further not only their education but enhance the wide varities offered by Pine Island Tropicals.
